In the autumn of 2022, we will open our newest 5-star hotel in Amsterdam. Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic Event Sales Manager to support our team.

Are you filled with ideas, and do you know how to turn every event into a great success? Is a satisfied guest your incentive and do you know how to respond to the wishes of the guest with commercial insight? And do you switch effortlessly between different parties while keeping an eye on a tight schedule? Then this role is really something for you!

The function

As an Event Sales Manager you plan and organise events for Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park. From a meeting to a gala and from a get together to a wedding; you know how to create a successful gathering! You take the reservations of the guests and with a commercial mindset you respond to the wishes of the guest and exceed their expectations. Thanks to you, every event will be a great success. You are very accurate, and you take care of administrative handling of the applications; you don’t miss a detail. You arrange everything tip-top and communicate clearly with the guests and the various departments within the hotel. You also bring in new customers with your enthusiasm and convert their requests into feasible meetings and events. This role will be part of the commercial department.

  • To respond quickly and efficiently to sales enquiries.

  • To follow up all enquiries, preparing proposals where necessary and facilitating show arounds.

  • To closely work with support team and ensure flawless communication and brand standards are maintained.

  • Contracting bookings and raising deposit invoices.

  • Promotion of Pillows Maurits at the Park banquet and event facilities.

  • Provide each business request extraordinary service by acting as an advisor, taking in mind guests wishes.

  • After sales activities.

  • Planning of events by ensuring appropriate communication between organisers and all relevant departments at the hotel.

  • Working closely with the F&B department to ensure bespoke proposals are created.

  • Create internal function sheets and information sheets to communicate guest’s wishes with all relevant departments.

  • Develop strategies and relationships to ensure returning business.

Check your profile:

-        You work from Monday until Friday

-        You have experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector

-        You have experience within the market of Amsterdam and a network

-        You are creative, have sales skills and commercial insight

-        You are enthusiastic and have strong communication skills

-        You are very accurate and does not overlook any detail

-        Good communications skills in Dutch and English

The newly Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park is located in the eastern part of the center of Amsterdam, adjacent to the Oosterpark. The hotel has 88 rooms, various (meeting) salons, a wellness and various F&B outlets. From our easy chic restaurant at the park with a large terrace in the green, a rum library, a (rooftop) bar and a restaurant with a star ambition.
