Scott - Deputy Manager

Scott had worked for Pillows Anna van den Vondel in Amsterdam since June 2017. In view of the opening of Pillows Hotels Maurits at the Park, Pillows Anna van den Vondel has closed. Since the opening of Pillows Hotels Maurits at the Park, Scott has been Deputy Manager here.

Career

Scott graduated from the Hoge Hotelschool in The Hague. After his studies, he started as Guest Service Manager at a 4-star hotel in Amsterdam. After 2.5 years of learning a lot, Scott was ready for the next step! He started working as an Account Manager for an organisation that relieves homeowners of the burden of renting out their own property. A great time, however, after two years Scott still missed the hotel business and so he started at Pillows Amsterdam as Deputy Manager. "Our hotel was then the first Pillows Hotel, with a completely new boutique concept," says Scott. "Many hotels and restaurants are set up to turn volume with routine work, but at Pillows we make sure we have time for our guests and can really do something for them."

Scott is extremely happy with his job at Pillows Maurits at the Park. "It is a unique hotel concept where the guest feels completely at home, by the Oosterpark in an upcoming neighbourhood." Pillows Amsterdam is also in the top 10 best hotels in Amsterdam on Tripadvisor! "We have continuous focus on quality and the guest experience where we anticipate and surprise guests' needs," indicates Scott.

The team

At Pillows Maurits at the Park, we offer our employee the space to learn a lot and think along in the way. Scott can attest to this, as he experiences a lot of job satisfaction among his colleagues. "The atmosphere is cosy and professional, we help each other where necessary and that creates a friendly atmosphere," he says. For that reason, the team gets many compliments from guests, which is obviously nice to hear. The team at Pillows Maurits at the Park consists of staff of different nationalities, and that can sometimes be very useful!
