Anna - Quality & Learning Manager

Anna has worked for Pillows Hotels since September 2017. Once a full-borne resident of Groningen, now a true citizen of the world after travelling abroad! She has been the Quality & Learning Manager at Pillows Hotels since January 2022.

Career

Anna started her career in Paris, where she performed various roles in the tourism sector, but also in restaurants and hotels. She later managed various luxury hotels in Morocco and Portugal with her partner. She accepted the position of Hotel Manager at Pillows Anna van den Vondel in September 2017, and moved back to the Netherlands. One and a half year later, she left the Amsterdam canals and took all her experience and knowledge to the historic city centre of Ghent in Belgium. Anna started as Hotel Manager at the recently opened Pillows Grand Hotel Reylof here. In January 2022 Anna became the Quality & Learning Manager for the Pillows Hotel collection.

The service of the hotel is one of its most important pillars. The personal and extensive service is what brings guests to the hotel. “I often tell people (and not just at birthday parties) that both Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof and the other hotels with their very special and unique locations are truly worth a visit.” The hotel has a very special ambiance, tells Anna.  “A historic building with a rich history, you can really feel this.” The hotel also has a beautiful courtyard. “A unique element in a bustling city like Ghent”, explains Anna.

Ambition

Anna has already received a lot of great compliments during her time at Pillows Hotels. “It is still very special when guests tell me that this is the nicest hotel they have ever stayed at, and that we have exceeded their expectations.”  Together with our team, we turn each day into an unforgettable experience! “We do this by cooperating as much as possible, by helping each other, and by learning from each other, but also by having a lot of fun,” explains Anna. “Pillows is a relatively new hotel range with a lot of ambition, and it is certainly possible to grow and develop along with the organisation.” “I am a good example of this,” says Anna.
