About the vacancy:
Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park opened in November 2022 and is our first 5-star hotel. The hotel is located in the green Oosterpark in Amsterdam East. The hotel has already won several awards and achieved a #1 ranking on TripAdvisor within a year and 3 months of opening, leaving behind more than 400 other hotels in the Dutch capital.

What will you do?
- By applying an existing experience Associate Director of Sales will develop and maintain an account base within the B2B market. Responsible for generating revenue and new business opportunities for Pillows Maurits at the Park and Pillows Hotel collection, when possible.
- Manages all areas of sales to achieve a professional rapport within the local and international business community.
- Meets or exceeds revenue budget in managed markets and segments.
- Directs selling activities to maximize revenues in managed markets according to forecast.
- Knows and understands the hotel’s sources of business and demand.
- Assists with development of the hotel’s sales plan based on the hotel’s position and strengths within each market segment.
- Assists in implementing sales plan; implements sales plan in managed markets and segments.
- Analyses and understands the competition’s market position, strengths & weaknesses for each responsible market.
- Develops extensive sales action plans for key accounts and prospects.
- Identifies and maintains constant communication with the hotel’s key accounts and managed accounts portfolio.
- Identifies new business outside direct managed markets.
- Actively increases revenue through outside sales calls, telemarketing, in-house sales calls etc.
- Manages projects alongside Director of Sales and General Manager.
- Proactively suggests improvements in sales processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the sales team.
- Organises sales promotional activities (blitzes, shows, trips, telemarketing etc)
- Manages and organizes successful attendance at relevant trade shows and events to maximise revenue and identify prospects.
- Updates CRM daily and accurately.
- Follows reporting processes established within hotel.
- Attends events hosted by Pillows Maurits at the Park to become ‘the face’ of the hotel.
- Attends local networking events to represent Pillows Maurits at the Park and create connections for future business.
- Attends and actively participates in commercial meetings.
- In absence of Director of Sales attends and actively participates in other meetings.
