About the vacancy
It's the winter of 2017. The first Pillows Hotels opens at the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. The concept where everything really revolves around the guest is working. Within a year, we are in the TripAdvisor top 5 in the city. Subsequent hotels also achieve high rankings and get mentions in the Michelin Guide and Gault Millau.
With this 4-star hotel in the centre of Brussels, our ambitions are high! Therefore, we are looking for talented colleagues who only want to be part of the very best, including a charismatic Front Office Manager who wants to do more than just the daily tasks.

What will you do?

At Pillows Hotels, we want to create as many special moments as possible. As Front Office Manager, you are inseparable from the guest's experience and make sure that every moment you have with the guest is a happy one. The contact you have with guests is friendly and warm, but never too businesslike or jovial.
In the position of Front Office Manager, you are responsible for and coordinate activities around the Front Office. You take care of setting up your department's budget, checking invoices and cash book and preparing quotations. You ensure that the department runs smoothly and generates a return as well as that there is good cooperation between the various departments within the hotel and that this takes place in the most efficient way possible. 
You also manage the entire Front Office team and are responsible for the day-to-day operations, whereby you yourself also contribute operationally at set times. This includes supervising and controlling the work of the reception staff, giving work instructions and guidance to employees, drawing up timetables and work schedules occupancy rates, etc.

You are the first point of contact for both guests and reception staff. At meetings & events, you are the contact person on site and you ensure that both clients and companies receive the necessary information (price, facilities, etc.). 

As Front Office manager, you will work on reception duties in a 2-shift system (07h-15h and 15h-23h). This includes proper complaint handling, taking and booking of group and individual reservations, updating and adjusting reservation systems, etc.

You report to the Hotel Manager and are part of the Management Team of the Hotel.
