Your role
As Sous Chef you will be responsible for the kitchen team and the culinary level in our restaurants, together with the Chef and the team you make sure the standards keep meeting our target market. You create competitive seasonal menus together with the Chef including budgeting and documenting recipes. With your experience you always keep in mind the quality versus quantity and control the food costs. Naturally, you order all necessary supplies with regards to local and seasonal products.

As Sous Chef you will assist and coach the team to ensure employee satisfaction and maintain our quality standards. Together with the Chef, you also make the schedules of the team, keeping in mind; overtime, sickness and holiday requests. Furthermore, managing the food costs budget and order all necessary supplies is also part of your job description. It is very important for you to maintain a clean kitchen and all safety and health regulations are respected.

Who are you
Are you an experienced guest oriented culinary specialist ready for the next level? Someone who can coach a team and motivate them to excel? Do you want to help us create the best hotel in Belgium?

Check your profile;

• A passion for cooking and knowledge of and experience in modern cooking techniques.
• A completed professional hospitality study.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position for a luxury hotel or restaurant setting.
• Proven skills managing and coaching a team in a high demand context.
• Creative and innovative in menu creation and understanding of food cost control and menu calculations.
• Keen interest in continuously growing your knowledge and skills.
