It is winter 2017. The first Pillows Hotels opens next to the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. The concept where everything really revolves around the guest works. Within one year we are in the top-5 of hotels in Amsterdam on TripAdvisor. All hotels of the group following achieve high rankings and are mentioned in the Bib Gourmand and GaultMillau.

Your role:
As a breakfast chef you start between 6 and 6.30 AM and are you responsible for the breakfast. No buffet but etageres with fresh bread and a la carte dishes. You have a passion for cooking and delicious food, like to present dishes in a beautiful way, have eye for detail and work clean and hygienic.

About the vacancy:
 
As a part-time Human Resource (HR) Officer, you will be responsible for various personnel matters for the newly opened 5-star Pillows Hotels at Oosterpark in Amsterdam. You are mainly involved in human resources for the entire hotel. Furthermore, you will be available for a minimum of 24 hours a week to work on location.
 

What will you do?

 
 
- Support the current employees with personnel matters
 
- Time registration & planning system
 
- Support foreign colleagues with work permits etc.
 
- On boarding & off boarding of employees
 
- Processing sick & recovery notifications
 
- Administration work
 

Other:

 
- Hourly Support divisional leaders and General Manager on organisational matters
 

- Optimising and ensuring internal communication

 

Who are you?
 
Are you a people-oriented and accurate HR professional who likes to improve processes? Are you someone who thinks proactively, comes up with solutions and translates them into efficient and effective working methods?
 
Have you just completed your studies and are you at the start of your career? Then we are looking for you. We are looking for someone with the following competences:
 
 
 
- Ambitious and at the beginning of your career
 
- Experience in a hotel is a plus
 
- Experience in HR/administrative role is a plus
 
- Eager to learn and able to work independently
 
- Flexible and eager to learn and develop
 
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages
 
- Available 24 hours a week on location in Amsterdam

The newly opened Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park is located in the eastern part of Amsterdam city centre, adjacent to the Oosterpark. It has 88 rooms, several (meeting) lounges and several F&B outlets.
